BringItBack Terms of Service

Welcome to BringItBack, a reusable takeout-container program in New York City. By texting a container code to our number or using bringitback.nyc, you agree to these terms.
The program
Participating restaurants ("Restaurant Partners") serve food in stainless steel reusable BringItBack containers. When you take one home, text its code to our number to claim it (scanning its QR code pre-fills the text for you). Return the container to any partner restaurant, or arrange a pickup, and after it is returned and verified at our wash facility, you earn BIBoints rewards. Containers remain the property of BringItBack.
Messaging
Texting a container code or scanning a container QR code enrolls you in a BringItBack account. You may receive texts including confirmations, up to 3 return reminders per container, reward notices, and account messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Email & account access
Adding an email to your member page is optional. If you add one, we use it only for account and service purposes: sending one-time sign-in codes so you can reach your account from any device, notices about your account or rewards (such as a reward being ready or a drawing you've won), and replies to messages you send us. We never use your email for advertising, promotions, or marketing, and we never sell or share it. You can remove your email at any time. Details in our Privacy Policy.
BIBoints
BIBoints are earned primarily by verified container returns. 100 BIBoints = $1 in redemption value; minimum cash redemption 500 BIBoints ($5). BIBoints never expire, are not transferable, and have no value outside the BringItBack program. Rewards are released only after a container's return is verified at our wash facility. Where more than one member claims the same container, the reward goes to the member whose return we can verify (see FAQ). We may adjust how future actions earn BIBoints; points already earned never lose their stated redemption value.
Prize drawings
BringItBack runs occasional prize drawings. No purchase or payment is ever necessary to enter or win; every eligible member receives one free entry per drawing, and additional entries may be earned through program participation or redeemed from BIBoints. Winners are selected at random and announced by member number only. Full rules published with each drawing.
Fair play
One membership per person. Accounts used to game rewards (fake claims, duplicate accounts, manipulating returns) may have rewards withheld or adjusted. But containers are always welcome back, and every member can always return them, no matter what. Be kind to the containers, and they'll keep being kind to the neighborhood.
Account deletion
You may delete your account at any time (text DELETE or use your member page). Deletion is permanent as described in the Privacy Policy.
The fine print
The program is offered as-is; we may modify or discontinue features with notice on bringitback.nyc. The program is intended for users 13 years of age and older. These terms are governed by New York law.
