Why we built BringItBack
For decades, we've been told that solving packaging waste depends on people making better choices. BringItBack starts with a different assumption.
People are busy. If reuse is harder than throwing something away, disposable packaging will keep winning.
So instead of asking people to care more, we designed a system that asks less of them. Restaurants serve food the way they always have. Members return containers the way that's most convenient for them. We collect, professionally wash, and return the containers to local restaurants so they can be used again and again.
Reuse becomes the default, not the exception.
Built for neighborhoods
BringItBack isn't a nationwide shipping program. It's local by design.
Containers circulate within the same community where they're used, reducing transportation, simplifying returns, and strengthening neighborhood businesses.
Our first pilot launches in the Bronx because every great system has to prove itself somewhere. If it works here, it can work anywhere.
More than a container
A stainless steel container is only one part of the system. BringItBack combines restaurants, members, collection, professional washing, and rewards into a single neighborhood reuse network.
The goal isn't to sell containers. The goal is to replace disposable packaging with infrastructure that communities can rely on every day.
Our vision
We imagine a future where reusable packaging is so convenient that disposable packaging simply stops making sense.
Not because people were forced to change, but because the better system finally existed.
